Michael Bennet and Andrew Romanoff Participate in U.S. Senate Candidate Forum, Tuesday, February 16th

The Denver Young Democrats (DYD) held a candidate forum on February 16, 2010 between the two Democratic candidates vying for their party's nomination for the 2010 Colorado Senatorial race - Senator Michael Bennet and former Speaker of the Colorado House of Representatives Andrew Romanoff. The forum was moderated by Aaron Harber, Host and Executive Producer of Colorado Election 2010, and was presented in conjunction with the Auraria Democrats.

The Denver Young Democrats (DYD) are proud to announce that they will hold a candidate forum on February 16, 2010 between the two Democratic candidates vying for their party's nomination for the 2010 Colorado Senatorial race - Senator Michael Bennet and former Speaker of the Colorado House of Representatives Andrew Romanoff. The forum will be moderated by Aaron Harber, Host and Executive Producer of Colorado Election 2010, and presented in conjunction with the Auraria Democrats. 
 

Colorado Governor Bill Ritter appointed Senator Bennet to his seat in 2009 when it became vacant after President Obama appointed then Senator Ken Salazar Secretary of the Interior. Senator Bennet is seeking to retain the seat in the November 2010 general election. Andrew Romanoff is the former Speaker of the Colorado House of Representatives. First elected in 2000 from Colorado's Sixth House District, Andrew Romanoff served as the Speaker of the State House from 2005 to 2008.
 
The candidates have never before appeared together at a candidate forum, and no other such joint appearances are scheduled to occur prior to the March 16, 2010 Democratic caucuses.
 
The debate is scheduled for February 16, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. at St. Cajetan's Church (9th and Lawrence on the Auraria Campus). Online Tickets can be purchased Sunday, February 14, 2010 after 2:30 pm.  Click the image for details and the purchase link.
