Getting Back to Issues

Dear Democratic Activist,

With a temporary break in the election calendar, it is time for Democrats to come together and talk about issues that matter to us. You are invited to a very special forum on July 2 (see details below). Our own DNC Representative Anthony Graves will provide a brief overview of the party and then wants to hear from you about how we can move forward. The meeting will also allow elected Precinct Committee People (PCPs) in northwest Denver to help appoint a new co-captain for the local party. Please attend!

WHAT: Special Meeting for House Districts 4 and 5
WHO: DNC Representative Anthony Graves
WHEN: Saturday, July 2 (9am-11am)
WHERE: Argyle Senior Center, 4115 West 38th Avenue

SPECIAL MESSAGE FOR HOUSE DISTRICT 5:

House Subdistricts 5A and 5B typically meet together the first Wednesday of each month at the Beauvallon Building, 925 Lincoln Street, from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. For the following reasons, we have scheduled the additional July 2nd meeting:

Democrats in House District 5 (HD-5) face a number of challenges: a transient population, inaccessible apartment buildings and imposing interstates to name just a few. These factors have traditionally impeded our organizing efforts but over the last year they have taken a particular toll on turnout at our monthly meetings. Recognizing the importance of engaging local party activists, the HD-5 leadership has decided to hold meetings that are better aligned with distinct geographic communities. For the time being, those of us that live along the Platte or in North and Northwest Denver (House Subdistrict 5A) can now join the normal monthly meeting of the House District 4 Democrats, at what will hopefully be a more convenient time and location. Please plan on attending the next meeting Saturday, July 2nd from 9:00am to 10:30am at the Argyle (4115 W 38th Ave), OR come to the meeting Wednesday. July 6th at The Beauvallon Building, 925 Lincoln Street, from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.
