Special Event: Statewide Budget Listening Tour



Governor John Hickenlooper recently presented a budget balancing proposal that outlines significant cuts to vital programs and services.  The proposal clearly demonstrates how hard our state has been hit by the recent downturn, and outlines the tough choices ahead.  Times are tough, but how we respond is a test of who we are as Coloradans.



What kind of State do you want?



My Democratic colleagues and I will be hosting a "Budget Listening Tour" all over the state on March 19th to hear your ideas, thoughts and concerns about our budget situation.  Democrats care about preserving the services you rely on and care about, and ensuring that we take every idea brought by our constituents into account when determining how to deal with this in both the short term and the long term.



I will be hosting a Budget Listening Tour this Saturday, March 19th, at the Eisenhower Chapel at Lowry, 293 Roslyn St., Denver (In the N.E. corner of the Lowry Town Center parking lot.).  The meeting will occur from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m.  I will be joined by Representatives Beth McCann and Angela Williams as well as Senators Joyce Foster and Pat Steadman.
