House Districts 2 and 3 Monthly Meeting

Saturday, May 19, 2012 - 9:00am - 10:30am
Location:
Cherry Hills Village Center :: 2450 E Quincy Ave :: Cherry Hills Village, CO 80113

Please join your House District 2 & 3 Democratic activists and friends for our monthly meeting Saturday, May 19 from 9:00-10:30 a.m., at the Cherry Hills Village Center, 2450 E Quincy Ave, Cherry Hills Village, CO 80113. Come early for coffee and sweets. (Scroll down to see the tentative agenda.)

We are making a special trip to House District 3 to walk with Daniel Kagan and the Arapahoe County Democrats. This is an absolutely essential seat and now is the time to show Daniel & HD3 our support.

We will also be hearing a wrap-up of the regular legislative session from our elected officials and reminders about upcoming Democratic Party events, in both Arapahoe and Denver County and within HD2 & 3. There are many, many fun and exciting things happening in May and June 2012, and you will want to hear all about them!

**THERE WILL BE TRAINING PROVIDED PRIOR TO WALKING**

Please know that If you have NOT walked for a candidate before, you will receive all of the information and guidance that you need before you are sent out.

Please support Representative Kagan and join us for this very important event. We'll start from the Cherry Hills Village Center, shortly after the joint HD2 / 3 meeting adjourns. If you plan to walk with Daniel, please RSVP to Owen at owenperk@aol.com.

You can make the difference and win this seat for Daniel!

There are only a few copies of the Colorado Blue Book campaign handbook remaining. You can get one at the May meeting -- while supplies last!

Finally, thank you to everyone who is active and engaged in HD2 and HD3 and the Democratic Parties of Arapahoe and Denver Counties. We've had well attended and lively monthly meetings, but your work between meetings; to develop a strong messaging strategy, to volunteer for committees, to knock on doors, to make calls, and to do all of the hard work necessary to turn Colorado deep blue, is greatly appreciated.

Please join us as we ramp up our efforts for 2012. Bring a friend, share this e-mail and let your neighbors know about all of the exciting things happening in House Districts 2 and 3.

Canvassing Kickoff with Rep. Daniel Kagan

Saturday, February 18, 2012 - 11:00am - 2:00pm
What: Critical Canvassing Kickoff with Kagan
Where: Staging at Friends Meeting House, 2280 S. Columbine, near DU
             Walking in Arapahoe County
When:  Saturday, February 18th at 11 a.m.
             Following the New HD2/Old HD3 Meeting (9:00-10:30 a.m.)

Please join Representative Daniel Kagan to walk neighborhoods in his newly defined district in Arapahoe County.

This is a great opportunity for Rep. Kagan's Denver constituents and other supporters to help kickoff his grassroots campaign efforts in portions of his new district.

The reapportionment process left Kagan with a highly competitive district, historically voting roughly 50-50 between Democrats and Republicans. The ground game will be critical to his re-election campaign, and re-electing Kagan is vital for Democrats who want to reclaim the State House

We know where we stand in Denver, and there's nothing more important we can do right now than to stand with our neighboring house districts and help turn them blue again.  The narrowly lost seats in 2010 taught us the importance of lending our boots on the ground to the districts surrounding Denver.  It's time to turn our promising talk into meaningful action.

Please show your support for Rep. Kagan, take this important step in winning back the House, and help mobilize Democratic activsts in Arapahoe County to launch the 2012 election season. This walk is especially important in its potential to energize scores of Arapahoe County activists who can join the strong nucleus of support behind Rep. Kagan.

Supporters are gathring at the Friends Meeitng House at 2280 S. Columbine following the New House District 2/Old House District 3 Democratics monthly meeting from 9:00-10:30. Join the meeting at 9:00 a.m. (guests include Kagan, House Minority Leader Mark Ferrindo, Senator Pat Steadman, and Senator Irene Aguilar), or stop by between 10:30 and 11:00 ready to walk.

Hope to see you Saturday -- and please share with your friends!
